Patient Timeline
Initial Visit and Goal Setting
During your first visit to Peterson Physical Therapy, you will meet with a therapist who will conduct an assessment to understand your condition, medical history, and treatment goals. Together, you and your therapist will set initial goals for your rehabilitation based on your specific needs and aspirations. This collaborative process ensures that your treatment plan aligns with your expectations and sets the foundation for your journey through physical therapy.
Ongoing Communication and Progress Updates
Throughout your treatment sessions, your therapist will regularly communicate with your referring healthcare provider to provide updates on your progress. This open line of communication ensures that your healthcare team is informed about your tolerance to physical therapy, tracks your advancements, and allows for adjustments to be made to your treatment plan if necessary. By keeping everyone involved informed, we can provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
Transition to Home Exercise Program
As you approach the successful completion of your rehabilitation, your therapist will work with you to transition into an independent home exercise program. During this phase, your therapist will review the exercises and techniques you have learned and organize them into a structured program that you are comfortable with. This personalized home exercise program empowers you to continue your progress and maintain the gains you achieved during your time at Peterson Physical Therapy.
Discharge and Long-Term Success
Upon completion of your therapy at Peterson Physical Therapy, you will have the knowledge and tools to continue your success independently. Your therapist will ensure that you are familiar and confident in performing the exercises in your home exercise program. They will also provide guidance on self-care strategies, injury prevention, and ongoing maintenance. By equipping you with the skills to sustain your progress, we aim for long-term success and your continued well-being beyond your time with us.
